I enjoyed today's weather. When I first took out my earplugs, I was delighted to discover that we were having a windy rainstorm. Then, by the time I was ready to go somewhere (to pick D. up for his contact lens re-check, then soon after that to take him to the clarinet lesson), it was quite dry, but cloudy enough that for once I didn't need my sunglasses. When J. and I went to hear Noah Strycker's amusing talk about his bird book (Birding without Borders, which I've recently read), it was also dry. And now, late at night, there are gaps in the clouds and I could see Sirius.
