Memorial Day

Today was relatively busy. I did a bunch of shopping, and J. and I both did a bunch of cleaning, then we took flowers to the neighborhood cemetery, then we hosted a barbecue. The guests were D's girlfriend's mom and her boyfriend, whom J. had not met. We made lots of food, without a lot of effort, and our guests were with us for about two and a half hours. D. and his girlfriend played a bunch of Katamari Damacy, which they hadn't tried before. After they left, J. and I borrowed a tall ladder, and he and D. took turns climbing up and looking at the roof (from the relative safety of the ladder), in the interest of improving our Internet connection, which is getting worse again. Long day!
