D. decided last night not to take today's AP calculus test, having dropped from the class a couple of weeks ago. Even though he was pretty sure he'd end up in the 18.5% of people who didn't get at least 3 (out of 5) on the test, we were still hoping he'd try - it would be worth 8 credits at our local university toward the science breadth requirement. I did look up the other classes that satisfy the requirement for non-majors, and quite a few of them looked interesting and fun - otherwise he'd have no real incentive to take things like "Dinosaurs" or paleoanthropology. Also he would have had to miss a full day of school for the test.

Anyway, that was the last of the big external tests for the year. I'm glad he's done with that, and I'm sure he's glad too! Now he can just focus on the six more weeks of school (and two concerts and next year's Youth Symphony audition).

So this eye thing that's supposedly okay has now changed a bit - the flashing is in a different spot and more like a shooting star, and the floater is bigger. Do I have to go back to the retina specialists for the fourth time in about four weeks? It would be great to be able to take my eye health for granted!
