I asked D. yesterday not to tell his band teacher "no" today about going to the state competition, but he was welcome to tell him "yes" if he felt comfortable doing so. When he got home from school, I asked if he'd decided. And he'd told the teacher "yes"!

So my son the district clarinet champion will play in the state solo competition on April 29th! Now I can be properly excited!!!
