We went to Science Pub, where my bookclub friend A's husband was talking about urban ecology. When we left, it was simply pouring rain. We got drenched, and most of the streets had flooding problems on the drive home. We're told this is the first of seven days of rain, and that Saturday's storm will be even worse. I am thinking cozy fireplace time.
