Car repairs

Today I started the process of getting my 20-year-old Camry in shape for D. to drive it, with a safety check by the mechanics at Wayne's Garage. So, we need new brakes, a new radiator and hoses, various new belts, a new valve cover gasket, spark plugs and wires, something to do with the axles, and more. They estimate $2500 for all of it, but then it should be in good shape, unlike what we'd get if we went and bought a car for $2500, and of course we know the history of this car, since I've owned it for 18 years. And it only has 83K miles on it.
Anyway, so they're going to do the brakes and belts before noon tomorrow, then I'll pick it up. I'll take it back soon for more of the work. I am getting experience at riding the bus!
