I’m on the search committee for the new conductor for the youth symphony, our previous conductor having left abruptly mid-season when his wife got a prestigious job in Europe. Already we have three applicants, including the interim conductor, before we’ve even posted the opening. Such accomplished people!

D. gets to play a brief solo in one of the new pieces the junior orchestra has for spring, yay.

I’m looking forward to getting the new Mary Russell book tomorrow!
