Easter, the hide-and-seek holiday

First D. and I looked for the 16 dyed eggs, which the Easter Bunny had hidden in the downstairs of J's house. Then we went outside and found our baskets full of treats and surprises. Then J. and I went to the woods to look for wildflowers, and when we got back, the Bunny had returned and hidden 20 plastic eggs in J's yard and mine. I commented that Easter is the holiday where we both celebrate our hunter-gatherer heritage and the fertility that let us make the transition to agriculture. We certainly found a lot of pretty things over the course of the afternoon!
Dinner was roasted chicken with thyme, with new potatoes and baby carrots. I'm not afraid of green vegetables, and I ate asparagus too. Then we watched Life of Brian, a change of pace from last year's Easter movie, Jesus Christ, Superstar.
I'm listening to "Take Five" as played on the alto sax, while waiting for my photo transfer to finish so I can post an album of the day.
