No good deed goes unrewarded?

Today the rest of my Amazon stuff arrived, including the stuff that was supposedly delayed due to extreme weather. But there was another box, the same shape as mine, and when I opened it, I certainly didn’t recognize the contents: a complete set of Dean Martin’s celebrity roasts on DVD, plus an iPhone case. I contacted Amazon on the online chat to report the problem, then I spent about 20 minutes trying to find enough codes on the box that they could trace its rightful owner. Nope – the overworked warehouse worker hadn’t even given the box, either box, a packing slip. Apparently they’d printed the label twice, once for my box and then the other went onto a similar box. After a while, the Amazon person decided the stuff was now mine. She commended me for trying to fix the problem (wouldn’t anybody? sad if not so), and said I could do whatever I liked with it.
So my sister is thrilled. She was already aware that this DVD set was expensive, and it’s just the sort of thing she’d like. I hadn’t even thought about the price, but it turns out the retail value is $249.95, on sale for $145ish. Good old Dean Martin. I hope the person who was supposed to get it will report the mistake quickly so it can be shipped again in time for its intended purpose.
