On either Saturday or Sunday, I’m not sure which now, I woke to find that the cats had gone on top of the refrigerator for the first time (an area that has been strictly forbidden and made moderately inaccessible) and also had apparently gone under the kitchen sink (having moved the large juice bottles that have been blocking it shut for months). I don’t know what kind of mischief they could have gotten into, in either location, but since then their appetites have been greatly diminished.
Today, Sorin (the less finicky of the two) started eating his crunchy foods again, and eventually, by evening, Ajani deigned to try a bit of his wet food. But not very much. At least they’ll eat the food pellets when Jonathan plays the hunting game with them. And we’ve had a bit of diarrhea in the litterbox for the last two days, but we don’t know from which, and apparently the other one isn’t eating enough solid food even to do that much. Worrisome! Especially after nursing a cat through 9 months of cancer – I’m finding feline appetite problems to be extra stressful.
