High school decisions

eve_primeWe’re doing all this high school class sign-up stuff. It’s so complex. Also, it seems they don’t have spring tours for the incoming freshmen and their families any more, except the ones with IAPs, like my friend’s son. (IAP = an individualized plan due to learning differences, in his case autism spectrum, or disability.)
D. had originally planned to take Japanese but is now leaning towards French. Honestly, I think four years from now he’d be happier if he’d done Japanese, but French has some advantages. Elective choice is tricky, too. He’s leaning towards a class on making mobile apps and possibly one for drawing. (In addition to band, of course.)
I finally ordered a bunch of soil, now that it’s going to be cool and non-rainy for several days without pressing work deadlines. We’ll see how my energy level holds up for distributing it around the yard. I’m going to borrow a mini-wheelbarrow to get some to the far side of the house for tomatoes. Mr. Deer is also an issue; it’s harder to work in the back yard when he’s back there.
