Mildly overcommitted

eve_primePretty much every day this week has bonus early-evening activities that I want to do. Fortunately, most of them are elective, and they’re all fairly low-key, I hope, because I have also come down with a cold.
Monday: Magic playing without the guys! “Lady Planeswalker Society”
Tuesday: Guest speaker Owen Flanagan, an interesting philosopher
Wednesday: D’s school’s annual “Artstravaganza,” with performances, dinner, and silent auction
Thursday: Science Pub on native pollinators
Friday: Dinner and get-acquainted stuff at D’s future high school
I did make it to the Magic event, although I stayed for only two hours. It was slooooow. One of the players had never drafted before, one spent a very long time looking at all the cards, and one was a second-grader.
