eve_primeRashaad was the winner of Face Off this time. It was cool that and encouraging that three of the top four contestants were people of color; in previous seasons, they’d been eliminated fairly early. For this season, Rashaad is the first one that D. and I had both identified as a serious contender and a really fine artist, though the judges didn’t start acknowledging it until relatively recently. (Face Off is a really entertaining show, featuring and rewarding a range of skills and hard work – I think it should get more attention!)
