So this ad that I’ve been running for months is acceptable:
Husband Chew Tobacco?
Want to help him quit? Learn how! Free research study for women, sponsored by the National Cancer Institute. NEW: Sign up online!
But this one is not?
Husband Chew Tobacco?
Learn how to help him quit. Free research study for women, sponsored by the National Cancer Institute. Act now! Enrollment ends 10/31.
After I’d gone to the effort to set up 26 campaigns that way, too. At first they allowed them all, or rather, all but Texas, but then someone changed their minds, and now they’re all sitting there marked “Disapproved.” The reason why is:
“The text of this ad contains language that is unacceptable, inappropriate, or irrelevant. Per sections 4, 7 and 13 of Facebook's Advertising Guidelines, ad text must relate directly to the content of the landing page. Ads may not imply knowledge of user data or information, or in any other way suggest extraordinary knowledge of the user. Finally, ads may not exploit political, sexual or other sensitive issues for commercial purposes.”
Huh? I sent a query, but they’re taking their sweet time about responding.

Update, two days later.
"Thanks for following up on this. It appears your ads were mistakenly disapproved. However, they've now been re-reviewed and approved. Sorry for any inconvenience."
