None of that shopping madness for me, ick.

I worked on typing notes about the various theories of what constitutes narrative suspense, while B. and D. watched cartoons and played Sacred. I also pretty much made everybody watch most of To Catch a Thief (the first five minutes of which refutes one of the narrative suspense theories, actually). I wonder how many times I've seen that movie. (I can name three deciduous trees indigenous to the Northwest.)

I asked D. if he'd like us to have a house as big as the one in the movie. He didn't think so. "Too many thieves," he said.

After dinner (Indian), I went on a walk in the dark. The moon was illuminating the tops of the clouds very appealingly, just like in the night scenes in Moribito.
