Mushrooms!

eve_primeAs part of my campaign to recuperate this weekend from having done way too much lately, today I went to the woods in the rain. This is one of the very first rains of the year, and the creek was still just a trickle, so I didn't expect to find mushrooms yet. In fact, I didn't see any at all when going up the hill, but this is typical for me - I focus on the view at first, and the details on the way back. And I did find mushrooms then. Also I saw my second chipmunk ever! No photos of the chipmunk, though - he or she was too fast.
These mushrooms were the prettiest, and this is my favorite kind of moss:
Unfortunately, I know almost nothing about mushrooms. We call these fairy mushrooms, but that doesn't mean anybody else does. They're growing out of a nursery log:
Some kind of a shelf fungus, which grows horizontally on a tree trunk:
This one was about 3-4" across and looked like it was coated in powdered sugar. I bet it's toxic:
And this one was only a foot or so away from the last one, and about the same size:
