The Story of How I Became eve_prime"
When my cat Sappho died, I had the notion of getting another girl kitty and naming her Hava, after the youngest daughter in Fiddler on the Roof. Then I got a boy cat (Robin) instead, so I had the name waiting to be used.
A couple years after that, I wanted to play on a MUD and needed to create a user name. My son (B.) had a really long one (USSTootToot), which caused him all sorts of problems, so I thought, okay, I'll go with Hava, but I'll translate it to English, a nice short "Eve."
Years went by. I became an administrator on the MUD (it's a group computer game), and eventually was promoted to "Primal" (the next to top rank), and right after that, my best friend and fellow "Primal" and I had a reason to create Yahoo IM accounts. coleoptera!) He made his be "fractal9091" and I thought, okay, I can use "eve" and turn "primal" into "prime" so that I've got a number reference like he does. Then when we made LJs we were lazy and used the same names.
Now,fractal9091 tells me it wasn't like that, that we made our Yahoo accounts before we were Primals. I don't know; it's possible, but that's how I remember it, and I'm much too lazy/busy/aware of priorities to do the research to find out. ;)
