Monday doings

Let’s see. I turned in our ballots – we’re only electing board members for the school district and the community college. One of the candidates for the latter was a county commissioner when I was in high school! I visited the library and Tsunami Books, and I had dinner downtown with J, D, and DG. I did some writing (condensing, mostly), and a lot of reading, and I spent a lot of time with the cats. Ajani needs lots more attention now, and today I sat with him while attending a quarterly meeting for my office, and later while eating a meal on the couch, then another meal even later. I also fussed over Parker, one of the porch cats, to the extent that he’d let me – one side of his face is swollen and since he’s eating just fine, I expect he’s working on recovering from an attack by the scary feral cat whom I also have to feed. (I call him Derwood.) Unfortunately, Oberon is the only one of the outside cats whom I could reasonably take to the vet. Fingers crossed for Parker to recover quickly.
