Another concert failure

Well… I impulsively decided to attend the 6 pm lecture-concert at the Musicking conference, but when I got there I was the only person, except for the two rehearsing performers. Apparently the actual time was 7:30 pm, but both emails (last week’s and yesterday’s) said 6 pm. Oh well. An hour and a half seemed like too long to sit around waiting, and after I briefly stopped at the university library for a couple of books, I no longer realistically had time to drive home and back either. So I gave up on that and instead met J at the neighborhood park as he was coming home from a bike ride.
