Monday, warm and sunny
Apr. 14th, 2025 11:51 pmToday went fine, in most respects! J and DG went out to lunch with DG’s aunt, who lives in Boulder. Then they went to visit a very nice residential place that DG consults with (he’s an expert on the psychology of traumatic brain injury), then they did an escape room, then they flew home. Apparently DG was let onto the plane with no problem.
Meanwhile, it was a lovely 76 degrees F here, and I had a wonderful time reading out in J’s backyard with the cats. Theo has moved into a cat carrier I’d left out on J’s porch and seemed much more relaxed than usual; he sat quite close to me. It could have been from having his own space, or maybe it was just the nice sunshine.
The main complication was that sciatica thing. I wasn’t able to walk the half-block to the store! I got as far as the next-door neighbors’ driveway then realized I’d need to walk back home and take my car. A page of yoga stretches I found online told me that stretching my lower back is bad (although it felt good to do), so maybe I’ve been making it worse. I’m going to read a whole bunch of websites tomorrow that J found with the help of the Claude AI, and maybe I should see a physical therapist.
