A Hollywood classic?
Apr. 7th, 2025 11:56 pmI’m probably better today, and I was able to join J, D, and DG for our usual Monday evening meal, although I sure felt sleepy all evening. At one point I took a walk and discovered that that sciatica thing can recur if I’m walking downhill in cool weather, hmm.
One thing I learned today is that I probably don’t want to watch Breakfast at Tiffany’s - I’ve been recording some old movies on my DVR, and this was the latest. I hadn’t watched it before, and now I’m kind of glad – the main opening scene was appalling! Mickey Rooney played a loud, clumsy, bucktoothed Japanese landlord! I texted my sister to ask if the movie would get better, and she said it depends on my definition of better. She sees it as just a stylish film about a couple of prostitutes and hates it. I did watch another 10-15 minutes, and Ajani was very intrigued by the main character’s cat, so someone did get something out of it!
