Lots of books...

I’ve been sorting out my stacks of books, separating those I haven’t read from those I have. The latter I want to put onto shelves (or in boxes, if need be), while the former need to be put somewhere that facilitates my eventual reading of them. Unfortunately, it looks like I have around 200 unread books – and that’s not even considering the boxes of my mom’s books in my garage. This is a bit overwhelming and makes my New Year’s resolution of reading one “backlog” book every month seem rather inconsequential! I need to remind myself that those are books I might have continued to procrastinate otherwise. I can only read about 100-130 books a year, and that includes lots of rereading. Blah. I think my plan is to sort them into broad categories and figure out ways to display them appealingly so that I’ll be more tempted by them…
