Today I woke with some pretty instrumental music from
Naruto in my head, and it occurred to me that it should be possible to identify the song online. Well! The original
Naruto series has a soundtrack of background music with 20 songs, and the sequel,
Naruto Shippuden, has its own soundtrack with something like 26 songs. But my song didn’t seem to be any of them.
I felt enough better today that I could go do some fun errands (two libraries and a bookstore!), and by the time I got home I had figured out the lengths of the notes well enough that I could write the song down and ideally then stop thinking about it. Naturally I did keep thinking about it, so I tried a Google search for “Naruto song in the village,” since they typically played the music when the village was peaceful and happy. That led me to a search for “Hidden Leaf Village music” (they live in the Village Hidden in the Leaves, or Konohagakure), and there it was, “Konoha Peace”! Here it is, looped to last 9 minutes:
