A quiet Saturday
Feb. 8th, 2025 11:50 pmToday I started watching Dune Part Two, although I'm not really in the mood for it, and it seems to be the kind of film that one needs to be in the mood for. I just need the DVR space. Will I watch the second half in time to make room for the next episode of All Creatures Great and Small? Time will tell. I certainly don't plan to watch the Super Bowl, so I suppose I could try.
I finished writing a blog post, bought and ate some salmon, and took a walk after dark- that's about it. Also, I upgraded my Heather Cox Richardson subscription to "paid" so I could comment on the post she'd made about Trump's new thing to limit NIH grants to 15% overhead, which would make it very difficult for research institutes not affiliated with universities to rent office space.
Meanwhile, neither D nor J made day two of their Magic event, although D came close. He was feeling okay today, but it was J's turn to feel rather unwell. I'm glad I didn't eat any of whatever made them so sick!
