Rainy Sunday

J's new dishwasher was delivered today. Originally they'd said Thursday, then Saturday afternoon (which they confirmed Saturday morning), and finally noon today. It turns out the Lowe's store has only one person doing all the deliveries and installations for the entire area. Also, the dishwasher was supposedly "in stock" but then they had to ship it from somewhere and only managed to ship it as far as Albany, so the delivery person had to drive the 40 miles to Albany to fetch it. It's a brand I hadn't heard of before, but well-regarded. We had needed to park our cars in a way that wouldn't inhibit the delivery person but also would still let our neighbor use her driveway, and that involved trying to park J's car parallel to his garage door and mine snug up against it, which looked quite amusing.

Meanwhile, we continue to get so much rain. I watched the Beetlejuice, Beetlejuice movie and found it more entertaining than I expected from the first few minutes. I also wrote a first draft of our holiday newsletter and read a bunch.
