Day 947: Eugene in the news

So... there's a bar in a scruffy-artsy neighborhood down near the river called Old Nick's, and this afternoon they hosted a drag show, and one of the performers brought their child along to perform their own "Drag Queen Story Time" act. The child is 11 and has been doing this since age 7. Good family fun, Eugene-style, right?

But this time, some right-wing folks took offense and came to protest. And naturally there was a counter-protest. And both sides had guns. And the police came, and there was pepper spray, and all that. So now we're in the national news.
