Sep. 14th, 2022 10:31 pmDesperate Undertaking, by Lindsey Davis. Flavia Albia #10. This one was pretty contrived, but memorable. Albia needs to find and stop a team of villains who are committing gruesome murders that involve acting out scenes from plays.
There was one of the original Falco books that had a scene so distasteful that I've never wanted to reread it. At one point I thought this book was going to reach equally dreadful depths, but after setting it aside for a night I was able to keep going. It was okay, given the content.
