Day 890: Book club

Tonight we had our book club meeting, at T's house. JS brought champagne, grapes, and some British "biscuits" she'd bought online. It was just me, T, JS, and T's neighbor KS, who lives across the street and who used to be a regular but got tired of some of the book club personalities. One in particular, that is, a woman who wasn't coming tonight. As usual, we mostly talked about other stuff, but JS and I were so enthusiastic about The Splendid and the Vile that KS borrowed it from T. to read.

After the sun set, the neighborhood bats were so active that sometimes I could see three at once! I'd enjoyed the bats yesterday, too, with Ambrose on my lap - one was swooping around J's yard.
