Day 813: *yawn*

I haven't gotten all that much done today, but every time I think of that, I remind myself that I did interrupt my sleep in the middle to get Sorin to the vet for his dental surgery. He had three teeth removed, and everyone who works there was impressed with how gentle and patient he is. One of the teeth probably really hurt, too, the vet said, as a nerve was exposed. So now he'll be able to eat better again.

So I've been sleepy all day today. I read some newspapers outside (our last warm and dry day for a while, though it wasn't quite sunny), and in the evening our neighborhood book club met. We were going to meet in person this month for sure, but then our intended hostess, T., became unwell and bowed out, without enough time for someone else to step in. Next month I'm going to host.

My friend BHW has an extra dog at her house. The dog belongs to people who have rented out their home to people who have come to see the national college track championships, and they've gone on vacation while renting out their own house and will still end up with a profit overall. And that's just the national college championships, not the world championships next month which will turn our whole community upside-down.
