Book completed

Messenger of Truth, by Jacqueline Winspear. Maisie Dobbs #4. This one's about the death of an artist who had experienced the war. It was an interesting experience - when I was at the 49% mark, it became clear to me (although not to Maisie) who had "dunnit" and why, but I didn't mind reading along until she'd gotten to that point too. And then... both whodunnit and why had twists to them, which made it so much better!

Day 697: Actual Saturday

Yesterday felt like Saturday, and today actually was Saturday. I had two achievements, such as they were - I wrote a blog post, and I picked up D&S from campus when her K-pop dance group performance was done. (That was fun, since otherwise I don't get to chat with S much.)

Meanwhile, J. spent the late afternoon and evening playing Magic then going to dinner with DG (we hope he didn't pick up any germs, but everyone at the event was required to be vaccinated and they wore masks). The kittens, meanwhile, caught a rat and had fun eating it.
