Day 681: More cold fog
Jan. 27th, 2022 11:51 pmIt's been cold here lately (it's 27°F right now) and also foggy, although usually not at the same time. That is, it's sunny in the morning and gradually gets foggier all afternoon and evening, then at night sometimes the stars appear. On the other hand, one of J's sword classmates said that this morning, where he was driving, there was fog and *snow* simultaneously!
I have barely been cold at all. J is far more sensitive to the cold than I am. This evening he messaged me that even getting out of his chair and removing his robe (which he wears over his clothes) was making him wince with the chill, so he was thinking of doing sword class from home rather than venturing out to the school. When I got the message I was standing outside, wearing just a sweater over a t-shirt, and feeling rather on the warm side. I did encounter T. in the same grocery store parking lot a few minutes later, and after chatting briefly she mentioned she was too cold to continue and needed to get inside. So it's just me. I got home and did sword-class warm-ups with J. then did a brisk walk to the middle school and back, still comfortable.
(It's not really "just me" - it's genetic. Last week D. complained one day that it had been too hot in his room the night before - 71°F.)
