Day 277: Quiet Thursday
Dec. 17th, 2020 11:54 pmToday I woke feeling quite unwell from my sinuses or whatever, so I scaled back my ambitions and had a quiet day. I watched a live talk about a book by James Baldwin, and later I watched our conductor's Thursday evening program; he recommended 12 days' worth of recordings for us to listen to before the next time we see him on a Thursday, presumably January 7.
I felt enough better by 8 pm that I actually went to the effort to make a risotto. I also moved things around in my livingroom some, trying to make a space for the Christmas tree. I need to relocate the boxes of books I packed up to give the other bedroom to the kittens, and Jean-Luc, at least, is still so rambunctious that I don't dare put the shelves back up yet. I think I'm going to put them in a corner behind the couch.
If I still feel this well tomorrow, I may again brave the post office and get the last two packages shipped. I'm also behind on visiting the Market of Choice, which is where I buy bread, for example, so it would be great to do that too. Even better would be to do all that and still have the energy to visit my office to get some papers printed out and pick up a book I need. Such ambition!
