Day 269: Sunset nope
Dec. 9th, 2020 11:53 pmAfter the two dazzling sunsets on Monday and Tuesday evenings, today we were prepared. The forecast called for partly cloudy today, followed by maybe nine days of rain, so this was it. J. wrapped up his work day early, and I got the camera ready. But as I left my house to walk up the driveway to his, I discovered that something important was missing: the clouds. The sky was perfectly clear, except for a few small stray clouds very low in the sky to the northeast and the southeast. Nothing to the west. Oh well.
We walked over to my planned viewing spot, the west-facing hill of Edgewood School, and discovered that hundreds of large mushrooms were growing there in the woods! It was a little too dark for optimal photography, but I tried.
As we walked homeward, I pointed out the tree that's in my foggy day icon, which I'm using here even though it's misleading.. Today was not a foggy day (although it did fog up for a few hours this evening before becoming properly cloudy). Next comes the rain.
