Day 122: Summer Tuesday
Jul. 14th, 2020 11:54 pmThis afternoon I worked myself into something of a frazzle, writing a bunch of polished text rather quickly - I'd wanted to finish the op-ed manuscript I'd planned to finish yesterday, and out of the blue J. inadvertently gave me an idea for another, so in the space of five hours I'd written two full op-eds. Whew! Who knows if they'll ever get properly published, but they've been sent off into the wide world.
I went on a walk after that, then did our weekly grocery shopping with J, then sent about making the Lebanese meatball dish again. I had the idea that I was going to do a bunch of yardwork while it cooked, but I discovered that the adrenaline I'd had from all that rapid writing wasn't actually energy.
Tonight we watched the final episodes of We Never Learn, a cleverly written teen slice-of-life anime that we both enjoyed immensely. J. even overlooked his dislike of subtitles (we usually watch dubs). My only complaint was ( hiding the spoiler even though the odds of any of my readers ever watching it are vanishingly slim )
