Day 55: The river
May. 8th, 2020 11:58 pmToday after J. finished his work, we drove to my sister's house so she could sign more documents. We also showed her the photo of D. in the university's alumni magazine, which she hadn't seen yet, and his Korean midterm video where he mixes the two types of ramen. Then her husband got home from work and we showed him the video too, but he absent-mindedly touched J's phone at the end; I don't think he's really paying attention to things in that way. (I don't think J. really cared - on the other hand, S. delivers mail all day and is in contact with a great many people, and the other three of us were all standing there wearing masks, oh well.)
Afterwards we stopped by the river to enjoy the day, because it was over 80 degrees! That's by far the warmest day this year, and it should be warm all weekend, then we'll have 60s and rain for a week again. There were lots of people at the river, and I'm not convinced that many of them were social distancing, but it's Springfield where people are less inclined that way politically. We stayed safe. After walking around the interesting rocks in the river for a while, we walked back to the area near my sister's house to look for the wild delphinium. We didn't find any this year, although my Facebook photo history tells me this is the right week. Oh well. It was fine exercise and a beautiful day. I'm too tired now to download photos from the phone, though.
