Day Eighteen: Virtual Science Pub
Mar. 31st, 2020 11:00 pmToday's highlight was the virtual science pub event about the Columbia River Gorge, including background information on the cataclysmic Missoula Floods. Usually about 40-100 people show up to Science Pub, but since this time it was online, there were at one point 3500 attendees! We'd seen this speaker in person back in 2012, and he's fun.
No news about my mom. I waited until I was fully "up" for the day before checking my phone, but there was no news. I'm guessing if she doesn't eat, then she might run out of calories by Thursday or something. *sigh*
I got some work done this afternoon; I'm redoing my work website for the book. We made tacos for dinner, but the (admittedly ancient) taco shells I thought we had here had disappeared (perhaps discarded by J), so he ate his with tortilla chips and I ate mine as salad.
