The "boys" have arrived safely in Sacramento and spent the day playing Magic. D. came very, very close to winning two byes for the main event; I bet he was frustrated. He and J. also won a two-headed giant tournament, and they all enjoyed dinner at a diner called Claim Jumper. (Sacramento is the nearest city to California's Gold Country.)
Meanwhile, I stayed home and worked on that tiresome manuscript revision. I also re-watched several Hallmark mystery movies while reading the Internet and cuddling with my catties. Naturally I socialized a bit with the outdoor/feral cats too. I did exchange a few lines of conversation with supermarket clerks, but other than that I had only spoken to/with cats until J. kindly called me late in the evening. If I'd had more energy I'd have gone to the county fair - maybe tomorrow?
