Financial literacy

Today began the next round of D's education. B. and my mom (via my sister) had each given D. cash for graduation, so today we went to the credit union to get him set up with checking and savings accounts. He asked lots of great questions and now knows much more than he did before. The rep who helped us was named Miguel, so naturally he was from... New Zealand. (!) Anyway, now D. has a debit card and he's learned how to use an ATM and how to check his transaction history online. When he turns 18 (in late July), he can take me off the account and have it all on his own.
