Easter 2018

Here's what I did today. Before D. got up, I helped the Easter Bunny hide 20 plastic eggs in my yard, the door lawn area and the back lawn area. Then I showered and such, and D. got up and went to his girlfriend's house to hunt for eggs and exchange Easter baskets. Our baskets for them and each other all got assembled here, then they came over (D. wearing a pair of pink bunny ears), and we all got our gifts. Mine was a potted flower, a plush bunny, and a fancy board game called Bunny Kingdom! Also some Magic cards. We made S. look at J's collection of lego dragons, then they went to our yard to find the eggs there. It was raining lightly all day, which could be ignored.

I headed out to photograph the wildflowers in the woods by the schools, as I've tried to do every week this spring. What with the rain, it was pretty quiet, except for a few older people playing soccer on the football field. After that, I made Easter dinner - a roast chicken with thyme (poulet en cocotte bonne femme, as I learned in high school), and also with leeks, carrots, and these pretty little potatoes that were yellow, red, and purple. The purple ones were purple throughout and looked rather more like oversized olives. J. didn't realize they were potatoes and didn't try one. Also I made biscuits. The three of us had dinner, then I did laundry and then got a half hour to relax, but then I had to work on the proposal (urgh) for more than two hours. I've just tried to relax since then.
