Let's call it done.
Mar. 8th, 2018 11:58 pmWhat a day. First I cleaned up my driveway, mostly, to get it ready for the roofers on Saturday. The hard part was dragging the large potted plants - the hemlock and stewartias turned out to be fine, but the dawn redwood is a big bear. It was pouring rain the whole time, too. Tomorrow morning I'll find out how much I strained my back.
Then I learned that D's piano accompanist won't be available for the state solo contest, so she "highly recommended" someone else. He seems fine, and with luck we'll get to meet him next week, but D's clarinet teacher is accustomed to working with the usual pianist, and I think she may be a bit flustered by the change.
J. and I watched two episodes of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. in our drive to catch up (which became less urgent when I found that abc.go.com does have previous episodes for a few weeks, so the one our DVR missed isn't that critical). Then he played Dead Cells, while I wrote the first draft of the "Specific Aims" for the new proposal - an important step that makes the whole thing feel a bit more feasible.
