Bother. So, I got quite a lot of work done today on this new proposal. I think in a day or two it may start to feel do-able. After J. got home from work, we went on a walk, and we discovered that this guy was applying some really noxious paint-substance-thing to the new house two houses south from mine (the lot that used to have a pear and a chestnut tree). I'm glad we were on the walk, as otherwise I wouldn't have known to turn off the fan for my heat pump. I went out again to buy some groceries, a couple of hours later (after doing yet more work), and discovered that the fumes were still just as intense, and they were spreading. Not long after that I discovered that they'd reached my front door. Now I'm in J's house, with the heat pump fan turned off here too, and even so it's starting to irritate my throat.

I wonder what type of paint is this nasty? I wonder if it will affect my sleep? I wonder when we'll have some wind to blow it away?
