Ha, please, "back down"

Our friend DG decided to do the "Never Back Down" challenge at the game store this weekend, and J. decided this was his best chance to experience this particular adventure (which he's always derided in the past), so he's doing it too. The challenge is an event the store puts on whenever a new set of Magic cards has its prerelease. Normally, J, would play in two or three of the six prerelease events, but for Never Back Down they do all six. That's one at midnight tonight, then a four-hour break, then three on Saturday lasting until 2 a.m., with I guess an eight-hour break, then two more.

Fortunately I have plenty to do this weekend, and fortunately he'll have the Monday holiday to recuperate, but overall I'm not thrilled. I hope they have fun, and I hope once is quite enough.
