Vision!

One of D's two main gifts from me this Christmas is something he's been asking for for almost two years: contact lenses. Today was the appointment. First she updated his prescription, then she put the lenses in and the doctor came in and checked them. Then came the "training" session, where he was supposed to take them out and put them in three times before he could leave with them. He did pretty well at taking them out - evidently sometimes it takes a person up to an hour when they're first learning! - but it will be interesting to see if he gets adept enough at putting them in to be able to catch the bus when school resumes on Wednesday.
