"Symphonic Safari"
Dec. 11th, 2017 11:59 pmI made it to the school in time for the second round of the Symphonic Safari, in which elementary school kids from around the city come to see the youth symphony and then to walk through it while they're playing. For that last bit, they did music from Pirates of the Caribbean, so I've enjoyed having that in my head the rest of the day. They play from the real soundtrack score, so much nicer than the version the younger group performed when D. was there. After that I met with JA at work to plan analyses, then later I drove D. to a friend's house for a group project for school. It's sure been cold out - the ice on our driveway never melted today.
We were told the neighborhood TV station would have the "safari" on the 5 o'clock and 6 o'clock news, but I didn't see it so I recorded the 11 o'clock news. Fingers crossed. Meanwhile, J. and I finished season two of My Hero Academia tonight - I hope they hurry up and make season three!
