Already November

Today's highlight was a meeting with Joe and G. Joe's the "cultural change" guy who's always really exciting to talk with; I think G. was impressed in his first real conversation with him. Also it was Joe's birthday!

J. and I had dinner at McMenamin's and then spent the evening getting his house ready for his parents' visit and playing Hollow Knight. We've been working on their new patch, "Update #2." It had "Update #1" in it when we got the game; a third will follow.

And the rain arrives right on schedule

J's parents arrived for a visit today; they'll be here until Monday. (It's now Thursday.) I had a very distracting stomach ache in the afternoon (was the banana I ate with lunch too green?), but have been productive in thinking about our next study. D. had a clarinet lesson and then wrote a paper on his personal reaction to existentialism - he seemed to be doing a fine job with that.
