Today we had three friends over to play Magic. I built a "red aggro" deck, mostly pirates, splashing green for a fancy monster. Later I went for a walk with P, who's hoping to buy a house about 30 miles northeast of here, up Marcola Road, a 6-acre property with a big pond. After living in a remote spot in Costa Rica for years, she's too sensitive to "city" sounds to be happy in Eugene - even with earplugs, a train whistle three miles away will wake her up at night.
