Blah repair

L. did respond to my e-mail about book club, and it's back on for next week, yay. That meant I could still go to the "clinical practice forum" tonight at my office with J, which was a few brief and interesting talks plus dinner, plus some conversation.

Also, although I didn't get a chance to talk with D. about his apparent new belief that the house isn't warm enough for him, I did find a product online that serves as a non-fire-hazard space heater and/or foot warmer, and I bet that will solve his problem.

Now, if only the sore throat I developed this evening gets better overnight, rather than developing into the five-day flu that's going around! At least my schedule is pretty open between now (Tuesday) and Sunday.
