Last day of "summer," for D. anyway
Sep. 5th, 2017 11:55 pmToday was the last day of summer break for the high school students (except the freshmen, who started today). D. spent most of the day with his girlfriend, then we went to get him some school supplies, and apples and such to take for lunch. Now he's in his bed trying to hack the phlegm out of his throat so he can sleep - sounds like the lemon tea that worked for him last night didn't help tonight. He'll be so glad when the air pollution is gone.
So will everyone else. Lots of people around the area got sent home from work today. At the university, the smoke detectors kept thinking there was smoke in the building, which meant shutting down the air circulation systems, which made things worse. (At least no sprinklers!) I just stayed home, except for a few errands. The sky is so ugly.
