Yikes!

It turns out the reason R. missed the concert last night was that he'd had an accident at work - a section of fence fell on him, nearly knocked him out, and mangled his ear. He couldn't afford to go to the urgent care clinic, so I guess he just went home and tried to get the bleeding to stop, which eventually it did, though he could hardly sleep after that.

I didn't go play Magic with J. today, but instead I worked until 6, then later I went to hang out with some neighbors. One of them has a fancy new fire pit/table, so it was delightful to sit outside. We spent about three hours together.
