Drowsy

My brain has been fuzz since an hour or two after I woke up. I blame the pollen. I decided to take a nap before dinner, and at 4:20 p.m. I lay down on J's couch, having set my alarm and lowered the shades. At 4:30 p.m. his doorbell rang - a young woman going door to door for a reason I never found out. I did fall asleep after that, but at 4:50 p.m. a neighbor started mowing, which woke me up with a start, thinking it might be in my own yard, and realizing that I hadn't told my lawn-mowing-young-person to spare my daisies. It wasn't my own yard, but that was the end of naptime!

My next chance was while D. was at the youth symphony rehearsal, but J. and I did our voting instead (school board members and an expiring jail levy). And now, finally, after 10 p.m. I am a bit more alert...
